Manchester United are preparing to give Bruno Fernandes a significant pay rise just under a year since joining the club, according to reports.
After months of speculation, Fernandes finally arrived at Old Trafford in a £47million move from Sporting last January and he has already had a seismic impact on the club.
In just 38 games he has already scored 22 goals, as well as laid on 14 assists, and established himself as United's most important player.
The 26-year-old's form has not gone unnoticed with reports suggesting that Spanish giants Real Madrid and Barcelona are both interested but United won't be in any mood to let him go.
Fernandes may only be 11 months into his four-and-a-half-year deal, which has the option for a further 12 months, but The Mirror reports that United are keen to keep him happy by offering him a wage increase.
It's reported that United will offer the Portuguese the chance to double his wages to £200,000 a week to 'reflect his value to the club' and fend of any potential transfer interest.
